Miguel releases new song 'Sky Walker' featuring Travis Scott

Miguel is back with a new track called ‘Sky Walker’ featuring Travis Scott. Not content with releasing the audio online, the singer has also shared the kooky music video for it!

‘Sky Walker’ is a smooth RnB offering from Miguel, which he co-produced with Happy Perez. The track sees him deliver the majority of the song, whilst Travis chips in with a verse later on. This is the second time that the pair have teamed up together, after Travis appeared on a remix of Miguel’s ‘Waves’ last year.

The track has some great lyrics including the iconic “I’m Luke Skywalkin’ on these haters (splish)”. Speaking to Genius, Miguel recently revealed that the lyric and the track’s title was inspired by his love of Star Wars. He said: “I’m a major Star Wars geek. I’m trying to make one of the conventions next year. I would go in full costume too. Luke Skywalker is the chosen one. For some reason he’s just great and has all of the wherewithal in him. Sometimes I don’t know why my mind connects certain things, but it just felt right so I left it.”

Miguel has also shared the music video for the track which sees him having fun in a bizarre mish-mash of situations. From being a matador to channelling his inner Tom Cruise, holding a party to chilling in a bath tub, this video certainly looks like it was a hoot to film.

Whilst Miguel hasn’t released an album since 2015’s Wildheart, ‘Sky Walker’ is expected to be the first track from his upcoming fourth studio album which is due for release later this year. Since releasing his last album, the singer has treated us to a few tracks including ‘Come Through and Chill’, the DJ Premier collab ‘2 Lovin U’ and ‘Lost In Your Light’ with Dua Lipa.
