NBC has renewed This Is US for three more seasons! The news is exciting, and as the cast share their reactions, they are also dodging questions about the show ending in season 6.
It is that time of year again. TV networks hand out their renewal and cancelations for television shows, as they determine what to put on air next fall. The current TV season is winding down, but network executives are already looking to the next season.
One piece of exciting news to come out of NBC is This is Us fans will get three more seasons for sure. Mandy Moore shared a heartfelt video sharing the good news with fans on Instagram.

Justin Hartley used Twitter to express how incredible the past three years have been, as well as his excitement for the three seasons ahead. Sterling K. Brown used the same video message as his on-screen mom to share to the news, but he chose a more straightforward caption than Moore.
“Wow. THREE more seasons!!! #ThisIsUs,” Brown wrote on his Instagram post.
Chrissy Metz and Milo Ventimiglia are also both very excited and took time to thank the fans for their support. Now as they spoke to reporters at the NBC Upfronts, there was one question on everyone’s mind. Will This Is Us end after season 6?

Last year show creator Dan Fogelman said his story arc for the series would likely be done after season 6, causing mayhem the show would end then. He already knows how it will end, and the cast has shot scenes that will be featured in the series finale.
The cast has consistently stated it is not for sure the show will end after season 6, it all depends on Fogelman. There could be more story to tell, or the show creator could decide he is done. This Is Us three-year renewal does have fans freaking out the show will come to an end then, but nothing is set in stone.
