On Friday, CONCACAF released the preliminary list of the four teams that will compete in the Final Four of the Nations League next month: the United States, Mexico, Canada and Panama.
Among those called up by the Stars and Stripes, who will be El Tri's opponent in the semi-finals, is Alejandro Zendejas, who plays for Club America, and who decided to turn out for the U.S. team, declining the invitation from the Aztecs.
He could now face Mexico on Thursday, June 15 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
There were no more surprises, coach Anthony Hudson decided to call up his best players for the match against El Tri, including the likes of Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie, Sergino Dest, and Folarin Balogun, who decided against playing for England and opted to join the United States.
The national teams were obliged to submit a draft list of a maximum of 60 players by today's deadline, from which the 23 players, who will form part of the final squad, will be selected.
It should be noted that any player who does not appear on this provisional list will not be eligible for the matches, which will have to be reduced to 24 hours before the start of the opening match.
